Share Distribution data is a dataset published by the Taiwan Depository & Clearing Corporation that classifies investors into 15 groups based on the number of shares held. This information reveals the shareholding ratios and number of shareholders for each group to observe investor behavior. By analyzing these distributions, the data can be transformed into quantitative factors to predict the relationship between investor trading behavior and expected stock returns.

Dynamic Transformation in Sustainable Governance— TESG Ratings 2026 First Release!

Taiwan Economic Journal (TEJ) released the latest TESG Ratings results on May 4, 2026. This round of TESG ratings covers a total of 2,559 companies, with 41 newly added samples. Looking at the rating structure over the past five periods, the proportion of leading companies, rated A+ and A, has shown a steady and modest upward trend. Meanwhile, the share of companies rated C- has also increased over the past two periods, rising from 8.9% in the first half of 2025 to 11% in the second half of 2025, and further to 11.8% in the first half of 2026, as shown in Figure 1.

TEJ Presents the Latest Developments in Geographic Data Applications for Corporate Risk Analysis at the 2025 NTU Accounting Annual Conference!

In November, TEJ was invited to speak at the “2025 Annual Conference of the Chinese Accounting Association in Taiwan,” co-hosted by the Chinese Accounting Education Association and National Taiwan University’s Department of Accounting. During the applied research session, TEJ explored the evolving landscape of ESG research—moving beyond traditional ESG disclosures toward the use of spatial data to quantify companies’ exposure to natural and physical risks. In 2025, Taiwanese companies are officially entering the era of comprehensive sustainability disclosure. Taiwan Economic Journal (TEJ) released the latest TESG Ratings November 3, revealing significant changes in the completeness, accuracy, and alignment with international standards of corporate disclosures.
